'Millions of rural families start day without water in toilet; Zowie exists to fix this'

In an exclusive conversation with Awadh 360, Pankaj Jaiswal, CEO & CTO, Zowie Lifestyle Private Limited, shared the vision of his ambitious brand. Excerpts:-

Could you tell us the company overview?

Zowie Lifestyle Private Limited is a research-driven technology startup that designs, develops, manufactures, and markets innovative consumer and consumer-infrastructure products. Founded in April 2025 in India, the company is built on deep user insights and real-world problem solving, delivering practical, scalable solutions through thoughtful design and engineering.

For those who are not aware, please tell us about your product?

A). Zowie Washroom–Toilet Unit (Flagship Product)

A fully manufactured, ground-fixed washroom–toilet unit designed specifically for rural households. It is a complete, ready-to-use sanitation infrastructure solution—not a portable toilet.

Key features:

• Human-reachable water tank

• Internal water supply system

• Separate bathing space

• Handwash basin

• Lighting and durable structure

• Modern, colorful exterior for pride of ownership

Core Technology:

• Patent-granted, electricity-free mechanical intelligence system

• Automatically prioritizes water usage:

o Full tank → all taps function

o Low water → bathing and handwashing stop, toilet use continues

• Operates purely on gravity, without pumps, power, or electronics

B). Zowie Washroom Variants

Available in multiple configurations to suit different budgets and needs:

• Silver / Gold / Platinum models

• Optional Western toilet, larger water tanks, enhanced interiors

C). Consumer-Infrastructure Product Line (Future Product Pipeline)

Zowie Lifestyle is expanding its product portfolio using the same core technology and design philosophy, including:

• Community sanitation infrastructure

• Water-smart consumer infrastructure products

• Adaptations for schools, institutions, and public facilities

What is the challenge that you want to address?

Every morning, millions of rural families start their day without water in their toilet.

Not because toilets don’t exist—but because they don’t work.

Over the last decade, governments and NGOs have built millions of toilets across India and South Asia. Yet adoption remains low. Families—especially women—still walk to fields or riverbanks at dawn. The reason is simple: toilets were built, but water, usability, and dignity were ignored.

Zowie Lifestyle exists to fix that.

What solution are you proposing with your brand?

Our founding team spent over 11 years building rural toilets under subsidy programs. What we consistently heard from users was not about price—it was about water availability, lighting, bathing space, and daily usability. When water is scarce, families must choose: flush the toilet or wash hands. Existing solutions don’t make that choice intelligently.

That insight led us to a breakthrough.

Zowie Lifestyle has built a fully manufactured unit of a washroom-toilet with a water tank, water supply, place for bathing, and hand wash basin designed specifically for rural households. At its core is a patent-granted, electricity-free, mechanical intelligence system that automatically prioritizes water usage (powered purely by gravity).

What is your invention?

Our invention is a patent-granted, electricity-free intelligent water supply system designed specifically for fixed washroom–toilet infrastructure.

The invention is a mechanical water-control system powered purely by gravity (gravitational potential energy). When embedded into a washroom–toilet unit, it automatically manages and prioritizes water usage without the need for electricity, pumps, sensors, or electronics.

How the invention works:

• When the water tank is full, water flows normally to all outlets—toilet, bathing area, and handwash basin.

• As the water level drops, the system automatically cuts off water to bathing and handwashing, reserving the remaining water exclusively for toilet use.

• This ensures that sanitation remains functional even during water scarcity.

Why it is unique:

• Operates without electricity or external power

• Uses physics and fluid mechanics, not electronics

• Automatically makes priority decisions on water usage

• Designed for real rural conditions where water and power are unreliable

Patent Status:

• Indian patent granted (2024–2039)
